PIAAC
The objective of the network is to increase awareness of results from the survey. It aims at promoting efficiency of labour market and educational policies in the Nordic and Baltic countries by providing analyses based on the PIAAC data. Moreover, the network aims at increasing the use of combined PIAAC and register data and to facilitate access to data for research purposes.

On 10th December, the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) II survey, conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), was published. Results show that the Nordic and Baltic countries score high, yet there are still important lessons to be learned. Lifelong learning seems to be part of the answer.
The Nordic and Baltic countries have conducted the data collection for the PIAAC main study in the period between August 2022 and June 2023.
The Nordic and Baltic countries started the data collection for the main study of PIAAC in the autumn of 2022. In the main survey, each country is required to collect at least 4 000 interviews in the period between August 2022 and April 2023.

Et enormt datamateriale om kunnskapsnivået hos voksne foreligger i PIAAC2-undersøkelsen. Hovedresultatene kan oppsummeres på fire linjer, men det er mye, mye mer å hente i resultatene fra store intervjuer med 4000 respondenter (Norge) i alderen fra 16 til 65 år.
Sverige toppar OECD:s PIAAC-undersökning, men unga vuxnas läsfärdigheter försämras – särskilt bland utrikes födda. Studien bekräftar vikten av utbildning för jobb, ekonomi och hälsa. Skolverket arbetar för att språk- och läsundervisningen kan bli bättre inom sfi och komvux.
Data from the PIAAC surveys provide rich information about adult skills in literacy, numeracy and problem solving, and how adults use their skills at home and at work.
