Online stakeholder hearing: Digital integration in the Nordic Region

Digital participation is increasingly important for accessing education, employment, public services and society. Yet many people still face barriers when navigating digital systems, particularly in integration processes.

The Nordic Network for Lifelong Learning (NLL) invites policymakers, experts, practitioners and other stakeholders to an online hearing on digital integration in the Nordic Region.

During the hearing, NLL’s expert network on digital integration will present three initiatives currently under development:

• A framework for cooperation between public authorities and civil society organisations
• An online database of promising practices in digital integration
• Recommendations for strengthening digital integration across the Nordic Region

The initiatives will be presented in their current form and discussed with participants. Your perspectives will help us improve the content, identify missing aspects and shape the focus and next steps.

An agenda for the hearing will follow.

The hearing is aimed at:

• Experts in lifelong learning, education policy, workforce development, integration and digital learning
• Representatives from public authorities, research institutions, education and training providers, and civil society organisations
• Practitioners, employers, industry representatives and social partners working with education, skills development or integration
• Other Nordic stakeholders with an interest in digital participation and inclusion

About NLL’s work on digital integration

Digital integration is a focus area for NLL during the 2025–2030 programme period. The work aims to strengthen organisations supporting digital participation, particularly in relation to immigrants and integration processes.

An important part of this work is increasing awareness among frontline staff, advisors, support professionals and other stakeholders about the need for accessible and relevant digital support.
