The Nordic Council for Ministers and The Nordic Network for Lifelong Learning (NLL), welcomes all invited participants to an onsite Advisory Board meeting, for the project ‘Future Skills – Bridging the Competence Gap’

At the meeting the Advisory Board will have opportunity to continue the already initiated Nordic tripartite dialogue in person. The board will be asked to qualify and comment on the preliminary results of both parts of the Future Skills project. Both in terms of competence matching and skills anticipation systems in the Nordic region.

The official program is from 10.00 to 15.00, with the opportunity for more informal talks and discussions both before and after the meeting.

Presentation, discussion, prioritising of potential cases for further analyses.

  1. Validate and strengthen country reports
  2. Finalize selection of case studies
  3. Strengthen Nordic collaboration on competence matching

13.00-15.00Skills anticipation in the Nordics
  • Presentation, discussion, shaping the next phase of the project.
  • Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
  • Present the stocktaking exercise of skill anticipation initiatives in the Nordic countries and complement the inventory with any initiatives not yet captured.
  • Understand what characteristics of skill anticipation systems drive their usefulness and/or relevance
  • Understand how skill anticipation initiatives are used in practice to inform policy making or structuring public services.

Practical information

Participants are asked to book own travel and accommodation – The NLL will refund the costs upon receiving an invoice documenting actual travel and accommodation expenses after the meeting.

All participants are invited to an informal networking dinner on 18 March at 18.30.
